Mariano Castro, born 1874 in SF,
served in Spanish army. Family's home
was on corner of San Pedro and
Santa Clara Streets. One of the family's
farms was near present Mountain View-
Sunnyvale border. It became Castro
Station for So.Pacific RR.

William Dale, born 1834 in MO,
came with his father, Edward Dale, in

James A. Huff, born 1832 in OH, came to CA in 1863. First
farm was on Sterlin Rd. where he grew watermellon & vegetables.
Permanent home was near corner of Plymouth & Huff Avenues. He
was on the Whisman School Board of Trustees, & Director of
Farmers & Merchants National Bank of Mountain View.
